Kish Academic Editing offers thoughtful, authoritative, attentive editing to all clients and serious academic review to specialists in literary/cultural studies. We can help you by providing whatever level of editorial services you might need, including
- copyediting: addressing mechanical issues, such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, stylistic infelicities, and logical inconsistencies or lack of clarity of expression
- substantive editing: addressing larger issues, such as overall organization and clarity of the text
- developmental editing: addressing issues such as tailoring a text for a particular audience or a new purpose; for example, transforming a dissertation into a book or a paper into a journal article
- proofreading
- publishing advice

Editorial work is primarily performed electronically, using the Track Changes feature of MS Word. The exception to this is proofreading, which is normally done on hard copy.

Clients may submit materials in English or Spanish; the critical apparatus may include citations in other European languages with prior consultation. You may follow either the MLA or The Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. Use of some other style manual is negotiable.

Assignments are governed by a formal contract agreement.
